Responsible use

Proofline Sports publishes probability estimates, not certainties. This page explains how to read them and the standards we hold ourselves to.

What a probability means here

A 62% forecast means that, given the information available before the game started, we expect that outcome to occur roughly 62 times in 100 comparable situations. It does not mean the game is decided, and a losing 62% forecast is not evidence that the estimate was wrong.

Individual games are noisy. Only large samples of graded forecasts say anything meaningful about accuracy, which is why the results archive exists.

What we never do

We do not delete, hide, or rewrite published forecasts after the outcome is known. Losses stay on the record with the same prominence as wins.

We do not backfill forecasts for games that already started, and we do not publish a Pick of the Day when no game clears our publication standard.

We do not sell picks, run affiliate placements, or claim guaranteed outcomes.
